Cirtronics to host U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte

WHAT: On Thursday, October 23 at 10:30am, U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte will visit Cirtronics Corporation to speak to the 150 employee owners. Joining the Senator will be President and CEO Karen Bomba of Morpho Detection. Morpho supplies advanced detection solutions to government, military, air and ground transportation and other high-risk organizations. As part of Senator Ayotte’s ongoing efforts to bring greater transparency to government, Senator Ayotte introduced the Transportation Security Acquisition Reform Act (S.1893) – legislation she introduced to help ensure the most effective use of security technology and responsible use of taxpayer dollars at the TSA. Ayotte serves on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and is the Ranking Member (top Republican) on the Commerce Subcommittee on Aviation Operations, Safety, and Security.

Senator Ayotte said, “I appreciate the opportunity to meet with workers at Cirtronics’ facility in Milford and with Karen Bomba of Morpho Detection, one of Cirtronics’ major customers. I look forward to learning more about their legislative priorities and providing an update on my efforts to improve acquisition policy at the TSA to make sure taxpayer dollars are used efficiently and effectively, help ensure the safety of the traveling public, and provide guidance and stability for businesses like Morpho and Cirtronics, which develop technology and manufacture equipment we rely on to keep our transportation systems safe.

”Gerardine Ferlins, President/CEO of Cirtronics in Milford, NH said: “We welcome Senator Ayotte and Karen Bomba to our facility. On behalf of the employee owners of Cirtronics, we appreciate Senator Ayotte’s sponsorship of S. 1893. The implementation of these best practices will improve transparency for the private sector and Congress. As a manufacturer of trace detection equipment, it will enable us to offer continued employment in New Hampshire.”
