Engineering Support

Cirtronics' engineering staff supports our manufacturing processes within our internal contract manufacturing organization as well as our customers' technical needs on many levels. Our goal is to be involved early in the design phase of new product to assist in developing the best process flow for ease of manufacturing and cost reduction.

Our current capabilities include:

• New Product Introduction (NPI)
  Cirtronics’ experienced engineering team members begin NPI reviews at the quotation stage, ensuring a successful product launch from prototype through volume production. Technical feedback can be given after the first run of a new design to suggest improvements affecting quality and throughput for future releases.
• Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
  Value-added opportunities, such as cost reductions through layout suggestions, trouble-shooting material obsolescence and availability issues, advanced manufacturing studies on new technologies, chemistries and more, can be found in the earliest stages of design. We ensure the optimal manufacturing methods for a successful end product and work through design challenges that cannot be avoided.
• Design for Testability (DFT)
  We offer support for both in-circuit and functional level test. For in-circuit testing, a review of the customer design and pad accessibility is analyzed to determine the level of potential testability. Suggestions are offered to improve overall coverage. We also work closely with customers on development, implementation and trouble-shoot for their custom functional test set ups.
  
  Testing also occurs within our manufacturing processes, with tools such as AOI and smart feeders that measure tolerances of certain components on the fly.
